The Fellowship of Independent Celebrants

I'm 57, semi-retired and enjoying life with my fiancé, Ashley, and his daughters Evie and Emma - but gardening and days out aren't as fulfilling as I'd hoped!

In September 2015, I lost my Mum and, as she had no particular belief system, my family decided that we'd conduct the service ourselves - led by me. The comments and compliments I received, from friends and family, together with a few experiences of celebrant error at other funerals I'd attended, helped me decide that becoming an Independent Celebrant was the job for me.

A chance to help families through a very trying and emotional time - to do for them everything that I'd done for my Mum would be an honour and privilege.

It then occurred to me that there are other occasions and celebrations that I could be involved with - and what an absolute pleasure it would be to be involved in weddings, vow renewals and naming ceremonies. - so I booked myself on to an intensive, weeks long course, with the Fellowship of Independent Celebrants and qualified in May 2017. I conducted my first Celebration of Life in July.

Life is precious. Love is precious. People are precious.

My job is to celebrate life and love. for anyone and everyone - including YOU!
